New England In the Fall: Connecticut 2015

From Vermont we drove down to Connecticut where we would meet up with my best friend and her husband for a few days. We stayed at the most beautiful little B & B called Chatfield Hollow which was just the most amazing B & B.  I cannot say enough good things about the B & B and our innkeeper Tema! Look at how beautiful this B & B is…

While in Connecticut we visited the small towns of Guildford and  Essex. Guildford is a charming little town on the water as you can see below:

I have to say that Essex is one of the most charming towns I visited in New England and I especially love the extra effort they made for Halloween!

Essex had the most amazing ice cream shop tucked away in a corner. The ice cream was so good I had to go back for seconds!

We ended our day in Essex by taking the Essex Steam Train which was a great experience! The scenery was amazing and I was instantly transported back in time!

On our last day in Connecticut we took a drive to New Haven to have a look at the famed Yale University. I always wondered if Yale was as beautiful as TV and movies made it out to be and I can now tell you with absolute conviction that it is!
